CDL A Driver – Structured Routes with Daily Home Time

Building Products Inc. (BPI) is looking for a CDL driver who can operate in a structured environment with consistent daily routes. You get to be independent on the roads of your deliveries while maintaining friendly conversations and relationship building with our customers.

Our valuable drivers consider safety a high priority and often ask "how can I serve you" with a smile on their face. They enjoy the fact that they can be home most nights. Our drivers are the last line in ensuring accurate deliveries to our customers with a positive and friendly attitude!

As a CDL Driver, you get to become skilled at driving a tractor-trailer truck over long distance trips and building customer relationships by being the face of BPI.

Duties & Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Transportation Supervisor and/or Branch Manager.

  • Assist customers with taking pictures and getting signatures to complete delivery.
  • Log information daily of the trips and weight of load.
  • Clean your truck and equipment to keep in good working order.
  • Be aware of road conditions and traffic for safe trips.

Requirements

  • A valid Class-A CDL license is required.
  • Understand safety requirements in every stage of your day.
  • Be able to frequently lift 50 lbs.
  • Climb in and out of a semi-tractor/trailer up to 20 times a day.
  • Requires full use of arms and shoulders to open the trailer curtains.
